Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PLAT.haus mobile application and website ("App") operated by PLATHAUS LLC ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Services

PLAT.haus provides a platform to book studio recording sessions, mix and mastering services, and consultations ("Services"). All Services are performed by PLATHAUS LLC or its authorized engineers.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the App.

Account Deletion. You may delete your account at any time directly in-app via Profile → Delete Account. Deletion permanently removes your profile, in-app messages, uploaded files, and booking history from active systems. Financial records (payment receipts, refund records) required for tax and accounting purposes are retained in a restricted-access archive for up to seven (7) years as required by law. You may also request deletion by emailing support@plat.haus.

3. Bookings & Payments

All bookings require payment via Stripe. Prices are displayed before checkout. Bookings for studio sessions and consultations are subject to approval by PLATHAUS LLC.

Deposits may be required for certain bookings. The deposit amount depends on your client tier and is shown at checkout.

Payment Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By submitting payment information, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. PLATHAUS LLC does not store full card details on its servers; card data is tokenized and held by Stripe.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

Mix and mastering orders receive a full refund if work has not begun. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Mix & Master Delivery

Delivered mix files are available for download for 90 days. Each order includes up to 2 free revisions. Additional revisions are $50 each.

You retain full ownership of your music, recordings, and compositions — with the following exceptions:

(a) Production Rights: If the instrumental, beat, or production was created by an authorized PLATHAUS LLC producer, PLATHAUS LLC retains ownership and publishing rights to that production unless a separate licensing or purchase agreement is executed.

(b) Unpaid Balances: If payment for any Service is not completed in full, PLATHAUS LLC retains all rights to the deliverables, including mixed, mastered, and produced works, until the balance is paid. You may not distribute, release, or commercially use any deliverables with an outstanding balance.

All rights granted to you are contingent on full and timely payment.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and design within the App are owned by PLATHAUS LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without permission.

Your uploaded files and recordings remain your property, subject to the exceptions outlined in Section 5 above.

DMCA Notice & Counter-Notice. PLATHAUS LLC respects intellectual property rights and will respond to valid takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe content uploaded or shared through the App infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent that includes: (i) your physical or electronic signature; (ii) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (iii) identification of the allegedly infringing material and information sufficient to locate it; (iv) your contact information; (v) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (vi) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act for the rights holder. Send notices to dmca@plat.haus with subject line "DMCA Notice." A user whose content was removed may file a counter-notice to the same address. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

7. No-Shows & Late Arrivals

If you fail to arrive for a confirmed session or consultation without cancelling in advance, the booking is considered a no-show. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

Late arrivals will not extend the booked session time. Your session ends at the originally scheduled time regardless of when you arrive.

8. Recording Consent & Promotional Use

By using our Services, you grant PLATHAUS LLC permission to:

(a) Use session photos, behind-the-scenes content, and studio footage for promotional purposes on social media, the App, and marketing materials.

(b) Reference your name or display name as a client for portfolio and promotional purposes.

You may opt out of promotional use at any time by contacting support@plat.haus. This does not affect any content already published.

PLATHAUS LLC will never release, distribute, or publicly share your unreleased music, vocals, lyrics, or compositions without your explicit written consent.

9. Rewards Program

Points earned through bookings, referrals, and other activities have no cash value and cannot be transferred. PLATHAUS LLC reserves the right to modify or discontinue the rewards program at any time.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PLATHAUS LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

(a) Your content infringing on a third party's intellectual property rights (e.g., uncleared samples, unauthorized covers).

(b) Your breach of these Terms.

(c) Your use of deliverables in violation of Section 5.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate the rights of others.

11. Limitation of Liability

PLATHAUS LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or Services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific Service in question.

12. Force Majeure

PLATHAUS LLC is not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, power outages, equipment failure, internet outages, pandemics, or government actions. In such events, affected bookings will be rescheduled or refunded at our discretion.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be settled by binding arbitration administered in Austin, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Each party shall bear its own costs.

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in a class action.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account in-app via Profile → Delete Account (see Section 2 for what gets removed and what is retained) or by emailing support@plat.haus.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
